  Like this S&F Extra, it has an actual meat department and a few more items. But the flower stand was terrible...all dead or dying. May just got them on a bad day.

  Generally avoid shopping here due to long lines and lack of cashiers, but sometimes it’s necessary to shop here with Paso’s few options. This morning was rough though. Went around 8-8:20am. One checker as I arrive to checkout, which isn’t a surprise. They open another lane, but with the 1st shopper the cash drawer ends up being short on change. 3 calls over the speaker to a manager...no show. Maybe the person was on a break, but wouldn’t it make sense to plan ahead and make sure the drawers are ready for customers? I understand not keeping $ in drawers overnight, but it seems like having them ready by opening would be wise, especially if your manager is going to be MIA. Finally, a supervisor showed up to the register. Not sure if it was the manager or supervisor, but it was someone who could get change for the man with ice melting. It was interesting since she was near the front office during the calls for assistance, but I guess it wasn’t enough to prompt her to help. Basically she showed that customers and their time don’t matter. This was just confirmation that it’s worth driving to Costco in SLO, or ordering online via Amazon. I just had to post this as I felt bad for the customer with ice waiting for change and the others that were business shoppers. It’s too bad as they have good variety and prices.
